These little nutritious treats are super easy and quick to make - you just need few ingredients and one good blender, and you good to go! 💥

You can keep these protein balls in your freezer for up to a month, or in your fridge for up to 2 weeks (although, I am pretty sure you will consume them faster, as they are delish!). They make perfect breakfast on the go, or super before/after gym snack -- as the name suggests, they are packed with protein!

I have added some cocoa powder to half of the batch and covered a few in dark chocolate to make them even more indulgent. But the choice of toppings is completely up to you 😋

you will need

I linked some of the ingredients to products that I used, but feel free to explore and replace them with brands of your choice! Holland and Barrett, as well as Boots, are excellent shops to find some great vegan protein boosts.

  • 3/4 cup of shelled hemp
  • 1/4 cup of chia seeds
  • 1 jar of peanut butter
  • 5 tbsp of vegan protein powder (I used vanilla flavour)
  • 4-6 dates
  • optional: cocoa powder
  • optional: dark chocolate
  • optional: nuts

the easiest recipe in the world

Add peanut butter, shelled hemp, chia seed and dates to the blender, and mix for solid 3-4 minutes. Once blended, if you want, separate dough in two halves and mix one them with cocoa powder.

Form little balls and pop them in the freezer. I have put whole nuts in the centre of some of the protein balls, and covered a portion of the batch in a melted dark chocolate. Feel free to play with flavours and toppings!

enjoy!

few words from me

Fingers crossed that you are going to love this recipe as much as I do 😍

If you are a gym addict like myself, or just want to swap unhealthy snacks to something that is good for you - give this recipe a go 💪

Don't forget to experiment with flavours, that's the most exciting bit. Try different protein powders - they come in classic strawberry, vanilla and chocolate flavours, but I have also seen more fun tastes, like turmeric latte or salted caramel!

For toppings you can try all sorts of different nuts and dry fruit, seeds, coconut or rock salt!

Enjoy and have fun!

With love,
Vik
