The best hummus I've ever made!

Hummus with kale

This week I tried hummus with kale from the supermarket (because I am always keen on trying flavours that I haven't seen before) and I thought it would be a good idea to try and make it myself.

This is literally the best hummus that I've ever made, so I am writing a quick post for you as the recipe is still fresh in my head 😇

I hope that you are going to enjoy this as much as I did! 

You will need

(This will make you about 2 regular tubs of hummus, so if you not sharing with anyone cut Ingredients by half, but you can keep it in the fridge for 4-5 days)

​🌱  olive oil
🌱  chilli oil
​🌱  dry apple cider - 2/3 table spoons
​🌱  chickpeas - 2 cans
​🌱  chilli powder - 2 tea spoons
​🌱  dill ​
​🌱  salt - 2 tea spoon (heaped)
​🌱  kale - 100g

The recipe - follow these 4 simple steps:

Put some olive oil to a larger frying pan, when boiling add drained chickpeas, chilli powder, some dill and salt. Fry for about 5 minutes.

Use the same frying pan as you used for chickpeas. Add some olive oil (or chilli oil if you prefer it to be spicier) and dry apple cider. Add in kale and cook for about 5-7 minutes constantly mixing.

Pour chickpeas into a large bowl (with olive oil - you don't need to drain them) and blend well. If the paste is too dry you can add some chilli oil.

Add kale to your chickpea paste and again, blend very well. If it's too dry this time, pour some cider instead of olive oil. And here you go, your delicious kale hummus is ready!
